Commissioned by German agency Pearls Group via our Munich office, Munderbar returned to the US in March to catch up with German ‘Fussballgott’ Bastian Schweinsteiger, brand ambassador for Garmin’s new Marq collection of luxury smartwatches.

Now in his third season with Chicago Fire in the MLS following an illustrious international soccer career, Basti’s celebrated work-rate and commitment remains undiminished, which is just as well. 

With a little over half a day in which to complete no fewer than nine set-up’s in and around the beautiful Chicago Athletic Association, he and the team picked by Munderbar line producer Teo Dobrovolskis had a lot of ground to cover.

Some of the results of the shoot, directed by Neil Robertshaw and edited in London, can already be seen online and in epic proportions on screens at international airports.
