MUNDERBAR AND MARCO REUS WIN AT HOME WITH CHARITY TVC

Munderbar

No sooner had Munderbar finished working with one German soccer legend, than we started a project with another, this time in the charity sector with Marco Reus, high profile captain of Borussia Dortmund and icon of the national side.

Recently engaged by SOS Kinderdorf, an organization committed to helping children taken into care, Reus spearheaded a national campaign to raise awareness of the issue, launched to great effect in a October Bundesliga fixture at Borussia’s 80,000-capacity Westfalenstadion.

Following another brief supplied by Munich agency Pearls Group, Munderbar provided both logistical support and a talented crew lead by Torsten Lippstock, who shot the arresting sequences and messages with Reus in the stark confines of the home dressing room and players’ tunnel less than 10 days before the launch.

In the compelling TVC edited by Theo Cowen, Reus can be seen slipping on the number 13 armband, a poignant reference to the frequency in minutes with which a child is taken into care in Germany. The TVC has been aired to wide acclaim and Reus has committed to working with SOS-Kinderdorf on an on-going basis.
